PAAAAAARRRRTTTT TWWWWOOO BAAAAYYYBAAAAYYY!
I made it to part two! And let me tell you this is a feat because half the time I just give up and never wanna finish what I start, but I am COMMITTED to you all lovely beautiful readers… we have the best readers in the world. (Figure that out)
Anyway! Part two of “Booking three sheets to the wind”… by the way does everybody get that play on words?
The next part to this is something I am very excited about writing… THS ROSTER! Again… I am taking this from the original roster of cruiserweights… let’s look at this list:
Tozawa. Daivari. Alexander. Gulak. Gallagher. Metalik. Dorado. Ali. Dar. Swann. Kendrick. TJP. Nese. Tajiri. Ho Ho Lun.
That’s how I remember the original roster of 205 Live as presented before Neville, Kalisto, and Enzo. So I am going to attempt to change this roster.
1. First that I would do I said in my other article, I would sign Ibushi and ZSJ, ridiculous that didn’t happen sooner but it is what it is and this is the first thing I would do.
2. At this present timeline, right after the tournament… I woulda made all of the same moves the WWE did sooner. Neville, Kalisto and Enzo belonged in this division from the start. But I am going to make two more radial changes. Sin Cara gets moved to the roster. He is another veteran guy that would be a great locker room guy to go to. The other move? Xavier Woods. Here’s why… he’s another great hand to move over there as a locker room guy. But he also brings in the crowd and fans. Just like Enzo, people will flock with Woods to wanna stay and watch him. Plus he has all the experience from The X Division. He can work a match and he can help guys with figuring out how to be themselves and a character turned up to a thousand.
So right now here’s the roster: ZSJ. Ibushi. Sin Cara. Neville. Kalisto. Woods. Tozawa. Daivari. Alexander. Gulak. Gallagher. Metalik. Dorado. Ali. Dar. Swann. Kendrick. TJP. Nese. Tajiri. Ho Ho Lun.
3. Let’s look at the NXT roster at the time 205 live debuted and let’s see who could be on this roster. Ohhh at the time; Austin Aries and Roderick Strong are perfect for 205 Live. Great locker room guys. (Again, this is before Aries was moved up to do commentary so it fits the criteria.) Hideo Itami obviously belongs in this division. Oney Lorcan is the perfect Lance Storm “if I can be serious for a minute” guy with Gulak. Johnny Gargano and Tomasso Ciampa.. as much as they deserve a run on the main shows…fit the weight requirement for 205 Live.
People who debuted in 2017… Aleister Black… Lio Rush… O’ Reilly and Fish… are all 205 or below… eventually they make their way up to 205 as well. For those wondering Adam Cole is billed as 210 off Wikipedia… take that for what you will; he certainly looks 205.
So let’s look at the final roster right now with all the people I’d add:
Aries. Strong. Itami. Lorcan. Gargano. Ciampa. Rush. O’Reilly. Fish. Black. ZSJ. Ibushi. Sin Cara. Neville. Kalisto. Woods. Tozawa. Daivari. Alexander. Gulak. Gallagher. Metalik. Dorado. Ali. Dar. Swann. Kendrick. TJP. Nese. Tajiri. Ho Ho Lun.
4. Subtractions. We know Tajiri ends up leaving. Ho Ho Lun ends up leaving too. With that roster minus those two people… that is a very solid roster, couple that with what I said in part 1? Keeping it in Full Sail and letting these guys do what they did in the CWC? This division would be turned around in the blink of an eye.
Check back for part 3 of booking 3 sheets to the wind where I dive into this new roster and the breakdown of how this division will now work with the one title (maybe another) and an actual win-loss record! (Yes like EVOLVE… shut up.)
