This Day In History (October 5th): Badd Blood: In Your House

On this day in professional wrestling history (October 5th, 1997), a historical day for the WWF with both positive happenings and unfortunately some saddening news to begin this day.

On the afternoon of October 5th, Brian Pillman was found dead in his hotel room in Bloomington, Minnesota just hours before the Badd Blood PPV was to hit the air.  Pillman was scheduled to battle Dude Love at the event.

But as the saying goes, the show must go on and go on it did.  WWF presented Badd Blood: In Your House from the Kiel Center in St. Louis, Missouri.  The show is most notoriously memorized for three things: 1.) The very 1st Hell in a Cell match in company history, 2.) The debut of Kane & 3.) It was the last event that Vince McMahon provided commentary for on a full-time basis.
