This Day In History (September 29th): A Decade of Smackdown

On this day in professional wrestling history (September 29th, 2009), the WWE would tape a very special episode of Smackdown.  A Decade of Smackdown.  The show would air 3 days later (October 2nd, 2009) from the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts.

The show featured several cameos & video packages but is best remembered by a surprise pre-taped video promo from The Rock.  It was the first appearance by The Rock in any capacity on WWE programming since the Hall of Fame ceremony before Wrestlemania XXIV.

Oh yeah, and there was wrestling on this card as well.  Including a star-studded eight-man tag team main event!
